Rules for MarioKartWiiWFC

The most important rule, I would have to say, is to be polite. Not many people want to be in a room with a rude person. Although the idea of what rude and polite is varies from person to person, this list should help you make your stay at MarioKartWiiWFC an enjoyable one.

Icons and Emotes: Use icons and emotes in moderation. Icons and emotes are an amusing way to express how one feels or just post something funny. But, overusing icons can be an eyesore and in my opinion makes them not as much fun to use. Icon fights are okay only when there are no conversations going on and when there are not many people in the room.

Links: No misleading links.
Do not post a link to something and say it is something else.
Do not post Malicious or prank links.
Do not post a link to a forum, chat, or anything like that without asking.
Advertising of any sort will not be tolerated.

Flame Wars: Do not insult anyone in this room. Unless you make it blatantly obvious that you are not serious, avoid any kind of insult. If you disagree with another member about anything, take any arguments out of the room. If they do not want to go to another, do not bother them about it. Harassment of members in or out of MarioKartWiiWFC will not be tolerated.

Challenging: No means no. If you want to Race with another member and they do not feel up to it, do not pressure them in any way. If you accept a challenge but are not able to go through with it, inform the other player that you can not fight them. If you are challenged and do not want to fight, be polite about your rejection.

Swearing: Use in moderation. Many people are uncomfortable when witnessing certain words and one must be considerate of that. Although swearing is allowed, using swear words too much is not. If you are uncomfortable with some else’s language, ask them to stop. If they do not, just ignore it.

Spamming: Do not post the same thing over and over. If someone did not notice a message you posted, it is fine to post it again once. This applies to icons, emotes, and links.


Rules for Classes

In MariokartwiiWFC, members are categorized into 3 classes depending on their skill. The classes, in order of most to least talented, are Pros, Advanced, and Racers. These classes are here so other members can race other people of a similar skill level and also know where they stand skill wise. Here I will list and detail how to become placed in your appropriate class. Do not ask or beg to be placed in a class.

Recommendation: If you fight a member of a higher class and they believe you are worthy of the class, they may recommend you to become part of the class. Do not demand, ask, or in any way show that you want a recommendation. Even in a joking manner. If you do, any recommendations towards you will be null and void and you will have to do something else to be placed in a higher class.

Promo race: Challenging a member of a class to become part of the class. If you want to challenge someone to a Promo race, you must follow the same rules as any other challenge. The members of higher classes are not obligated in any way to accept Promo races so if one does not want to fight you, try again later. Judges can not fight in Promo Matches.

race ~thekillingdog or ~Forgotten-Neko If it is impossible to meet the above conditions and one of us is avalible, you can race race ~thekillingdog or ~Forgotten-Neko to be placed in the appropriate class. Beating me does not automatically make you able to be placed in Advanced or Pros. It all depends on how badly you beat me and if I believe you are fit for the class.

Defintion of a Promo race: A Promo race must be viewed by a non-racing judge who must trail slightly behind the contestannts. Only official judges allowed to judge. The rules are as follows:
-You must win the Grand Prix
-Courses are chosen at random
-You may use any character you wish.
-You may use any kart or bike you wish
-all races are 150 cc
-no computers
